The NYPD Hate Crime Task Force is investigating, after graffiti was found at the construction site of an Islamic community center in Queens.

Aleeza Kazmi, a college student who lives near the site, which is located at the intersection of Winchester Boulevard and 237th St. in Bellerose Manor, told NY1 on Saturday evening that she discovered the words "911-mosque" and the letters "Terr" on the wooden panels surrounding the property.

Kazmi said Saturday evening that the graffiti had been sprayed on the panels within the last day.

"I was shocked and very upset, but I wasn't surprised. I grew up in post-9/11 New York City. I was 12 years old the first time I got called a terrorist, maybe a little bit younger," Kazmi said at the site. "When I saw that this was being built a couple months ago, I was telling my mom, 'You know, that's great, any sort of community center is great.' I was excited for my brother to have a place to possibly go to. And my second thought was, like, something is going to happen, and here it is."

Police officers were on-scene, taking pictures of the graffiti.

No suspects have been named.
