The Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning is showcasing five Brooklyn artists in its “Peace and Love” exhibit.  It's all part of Dorsey’s Art Gallery in Prospect Lefferts Gardens.

Organizers for the Queens based center say the collection features over two dozen paintings, sculptures and other forms of art that make them feel peaceful or loved.  It also features influential people from the African American community.

Artist Otto Neals says the exhibit is another means for people to learn more about the story of African Americans.  "We use art to teach people. You know, there's a lot of things that's missing in history and I think we provide a link."

The collection is open to the public Monday to Saturday from 10am to 6pm.  And will be on display until April 30th.
