Puppies once abandoned in freezing temperatures need new homes on Staten Island.

Volunteers with the non-profit Louie's Legacy Animal Rescue are looking for homes for five puppies in Westerleigh.

They were found abandoned and freezing at a gas station two weeks ago before being brought to an animal rescue center.

Organizers say they'll provide food and cover all medical costs for the pets until they are adopted.
