Queens residents bowled for a purpose over the weekend.

The Rotary Club of Southwest Queens held its annual Bowling For Vets event Sunday at Bowl 360 in Ozone Park.

All the proceeds from the fundraiser will go to helping homeless veterans.

The Rotary Club works with the organization General Needs to provide new clothing and supplies for vets in shelters.

"These men and women have really sacrificed everything for us to have these freedoms to spend a Sunday afternoon and go bowling//how do we not stop for a second and say we're here to help you," said Lonnie Sherman, Founder, General Needs.
