Religious leaders in Queens want to dedicate a street in honor of Armenians in the borough.

210th street between 58th Avenue and Horace Harding Expressway in Bayside could soon become “Armenian Way.”

It’s the street behind the Armenian Church of the Holy Martyrs.

Members of the clergy say the borough has been home to about two thousand Armenians since the early fifties.

"This is to remember the history," said Abraham Malkhasyan, Pastor, Armenian Church of the Holy Martyrs. "Also to, to thank those who are always supportive," he continued.

Community Board 11’s Transportation Committee has already approved the co-naming.

Now it's up for consideration with the community board.
