SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse Mayor Stephanie Miner has just a few more weeks left in office, after reaching her term limit. She sat down with Iris St. Meran to reflect on her eight years.

The mayor says she is proud of many things, including the reopening of Hotel Syracuse, the graduation rates in the city and the creation of the land bank.

She credits the work of the many people working in Syracuse City Hall, and that being mayor has been a privilege.

"Even when the job was more difficult than I anticipated it would be, the people of the city have been tremendously kind and generous to me in very private moments and that is something that I will always hold dear to, and it has made the job more special,” Miner said.

In this extended interview, Miner speaks on her time in office, the growth of the city over the last 8 years, crime, infrastructure and her administration.
