CHARLOTTE -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg police have charged a man for his involvement in the sexual assault of children.

During the investigation, the victim advised that 61-year-old Angel Mario Guzman Lobo forcibly fondled her on multiple occasions in 2014 and 2015.

Detectives determined that Lobo had a history of renting rooms from various people he met, and became a caregiver to children when the assault occurred.

Detectives also determined two additional children were sexually assaulted during the same time frame, but those charges are pending.

Lobo has been charged with 10 counts of indecent liberties with a child and 10 counts of first-degree sex offense.

Police say they don’t know just how many children could’ve been assaulted by Lobo in all.

They are asking anyone who may also be a victim to come and talk to them.
