Activists protest the FCC's plan to cut net neutrality outside more than 600 Verizon stores nationwide and across the city.

The biggest protest in the nation was at the Verizon store on 42nd Street between 6th and 7th Avenues.

Net Neutrality prohibits internet service providers like Verizon from speeding up, slowing down or blocking any content, applications or websites you want to use. FCC Chairman Ajit Pai has scheduled a vote on gutting Net Neutrality protections for December 14.

The protesters are urging Congress to stop the vote.

They say Pai, who was once a lawyer for Verizon, is ignoring the overwhelming public support for Net Neutrality.
