NEW YORK - Two popular radio hosts here in the city have been suspended from WNYC.

Leonard Lopate and Johnathan Schwartz have both been put on leave amid allegations of inappropriate conduct.

Lopate has been on the station for more than 30 years, hosting a daily two hour program.

While Schwartz is the host of the Jonathan Channel and other shows on the weekends.

The pair's suspension comes just a few days after sexual harassment allegations surfaced against former host of the The Takeaway, John Hockenberry.

WNYC's CEO says the company is taking the matters very seriously and is taking all the needed steps to create a safe work environment.
