CHARLOTTE -- Walking side by side, thousands of pro-life supporters marched on Saturday.

Love Life Charlotte organized the prayer walk outside the Preferred Womens Health Clinic.

The group said it's helped with housing, jobs and counseling to hundreds of families who are considering or have had abortions.

"I think it's pretty clear that Love Life isn't here to protest anything but to proclaim we love Jesus, and because of that we love neighbors ourselves," said Love Life Charlotte Spokesperson David Benham.

But, the walk also sparked counter-protesters.

"They can say whatever they like to say, but if it looks like a protest and it smells like a protest, it is a protest," said Jen Ferris from Progress North Carolina," Jen Ferris from Progress North Carolina said.

The director of the clinic said the demonstration is a scare tactic and intimidation.

Police said two demonstrators were cited for interfering with lawful assembly.
