A man was arrested Sunday night for attacking a livery cab driver — who later crashed his car and died — with a hockey stick on the West Side Highway, according to police.

Kohji Kosugi, 39, faces a manslaughter charge.

Police said Randolf Tolk, 68, got into an argument with Kosugi at the intersection of 11th Ave. and West 20th St. Saturday night after coming to a stop there.

The suspect then struck the driver over the head with the hockey stick before running off, investigators said.

Tolk drove away, but he then crashed his Toyota Camry into the center divider at Horatio St. and West St. around 11:58 p.m. Saturday, the city police department said. He was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.

The Medical Examiner will determine the exact cause of Tolk's death.
