SALISBURY, N.C. -- Salisbury police have identified the man killed in an officer-involved shooting Thursday.

They say 25-year-old Paul Jones III robbed the Wells Fargo on Jake Alexander Boulevard around 5 p.m.

During the robbery, police say Jones shot a customer, 61-year-old Jose Santiago, inside the bank. Santiago was shot in the face and was last listed in critical condition.

Jones then ran out and shot a second person, 45-year-old Larry Dalton, as Jones stole a car and drove off.

Jones was killed by officers when he pointed a gun at them.

The FBI, SBI and the Rowan County Sheriff's office are investigating the various parts of the incident.
