The state has filed a complaint against a Queens landlord. He's accused of discriminating against immigrants.

In June, the tenants of a building on 42nd Avenue near Junction Boulevard in Corona received a letter asking them to prove their citizenship or they would be evicted. The building is owned Jaideep Reddy of Long Island. The letter became public after a constituent complained to Queens State Senator Jose Peralta. Right after that, Governor Cuomo directed the state to investigate actions at the building. This complaint is a result of that investigation. In June, a manager at the building told NY1 the letter was an error . Reddy told several publications he was sorry for the letter. We did reach out to him we have not heard back yet.
