ORISKANY, N.Y. -- Mohawk Valley Crime Stoppers tips will be taken by the Oneida County 911 Center starting November 1. The new partnership was announced on Monday.

The information given will then be reviewed by a designated crime stopper coordinator assigned to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office.

Leaders said this will allow true 24-7 monitoring and assures the most efficient dissemination of time sensitive information.

"Now we can look at things in a bigger picture. It also helps get the word out to law enforcement agencies and tipsters that 'hey, here we are, and we're asking for your help,' " said Mohawk Valley Crime Stoppers Executive Director James Glorioso.

There are a few ways to place an anonymous tip.
