UTICA, N.Y. -- Twelve jurors and four alternates have been selected for Kaitlyn Conley's second murder trial.

Conley is accused of poisoning her ex-boyfriend's mother, Mary Yoder, using a toxin called colchicine. She stood trial earlier this year, but the jury could not reach a verdict.

Her new trial began Thursday with jury selection and by the end of the day, all but one juror had been selected. But by Friday morning, two jurors were dismissed after they realized they knew at least one of the witnesses.

Out of a group of nine, the final three alternate jurors were selected Friday. Opening statements are scheduled for Monday morning at 10 a.m.
