Locals got a chance to taste cuisines from across the globe in the World's Borough this weekend.

Vendors from all over brought their dishes to City Mission's International Food Fair on Whitney Avenue and Broadway in Elmhurst on Saturday.

City Mission is a religious nonprofit that aims to build up the community.

Visitors were able to try foods from a variety of places like Burma, Columbia, Italy and more.

“We want to be this place where people can really bring their food, expose their food, expose their culture to Elmhurst….I think working together and seeing them, seeing the different foods that they bring, we can really learn from each other," said Grace Hong of City Mission.

This was the first time City Mission held the food fair.
