Police say they have identified the city EMT who died after he crashed his motorcycle on the Kosciuszko Bridge on Saturday night.

Investigators said Kevin Liang, 27, was riding east in the middle lane of the bridge around 7:50 p.m. when a dark-colored sedan tried to merge from the left lane and hit him. This caused him to fall off his motorcycle.

The sedan did not stay at the scene, police said.

Crews took Liang to Woodhull Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The city fire department said Liang was off-duty at the time of the crash.

The NYPD's Highway Collision Squad is investigating.

This happened just hours before the planned demolition of the old Kosciuszko Bridge nearby.
