The city's Department of Small Business Services (SBS) is helping businesses impacted by Monday's deadly bus crash in Flushing.

According to SBS, four businesses are now closed after a Dahlia charter bus slammed into an MTA bus at Northern Boulevard and Main Street. The agency is offering pro-bono legal advice and financial services. In addition, SBS is helping to expedite any licenses or permits lost during the destruction, in order to get the stores open for business as soon as possible.

“We will help them with any building permits they may need,” said Bernadette Nation, SBS’s Executive Director of Emergency Response. “We will also help them with any reports they may need for their insurance purposes.”

The SBS is also working to set up a help center for affected businesses at Council Member Peter Koo's office.
