Thanks to the generosity of others a middle school in East Elmhurst is hitting all the right notes.

Representatives from WQXR Radio donated 38 gently used instruments to the Louis Armstrong Middle School Tuesday.

The instruments are courtesy of the radio station's Instrument Drive -- which collects instruments to be donated to New York City and Newark Public Schools.

Tuesday's donation included flutes, trumpets, violins, and a drum set.

"It really allows for all of the kids to have access to instruments. Um, it, it will make a huge impact in terms of just the, the number of kids that can take home instruments, that can have sectional rehearsals," said Paul King, Executive Director, NYCDOE Office of Arts and Special Projects.
