The cold and a little rain couldn’t keep people from showing their support for women’s Rights on Sunday.

Council Member Karen Koslowitz organized a rally in Forest Hills to mark women's history month.

The event was held at MacDonald Park and drew in attendees from several women’s rights organizations.

Organizers told NY1 it’s more important now, than ever, for people to speak out.

"People are willing to come out, it shows a great moral for women, for New York, for Queens," said Nicole Taylor, a Hollis resident who attended the event.

Organizers said that the central message of the rally was that women’s rights are human rights.
