A new wave of Citi Bike stations rolling into Long Island City has some Sunnyside residents feeling left behind.

The City Department of Transportation (DOT) plans to add up to 10 Citi Bike docking stations in Long Island City by the end of the summer.

The neighborhood is the only one in the borough with the privately owned bike sharing program's stations.

Some Sunnyside residents tell NY1 they would like to see the program closer to home.

One resident asked, “If they have some over there, why do they need more?”

“This is definitely a neighborhood that's up-and-coming and I wouldn't stop at LIC if this was something they're really committed on doing,” added another. “I would further it all the way down to Jackson Heights.”

In response, a DOT spokesperson tells NY1 in part they "expect to add 5 - 10 additional sites to CB2 and 55 - 60 stations in Astoria in order to improve network density, making it a more convenient and reliable transportation option for residents and employees in the area."

The department will hold a community input meeting at the CUNY School of Law on Thursday at 6 p.m.
