St. John's University is highlighting women during Women's History Month in a unique way.

The university is showcasing a pop-up exhibit called "I am Psyched."

The exhibit outlines the achievements of female pioneers of psychology.

It is a part of a national tour that is partnered with the American Psychological Association.

The organization's purpose is to provide psychological research to benefit society and improve the lives of others.

One of the university's professors says the exhibit will have an impact on future generations.

"An eminent, uh, scientist said recently, 'If you can't see yourself, then you can't be that thing.' You don't know what that thing is and we want to make visible the images of women of color

so that young girls and young women can say, "Okay, they were able to do that, I can do that," said Dr. Beverly Greene, Professor of Psychology, St. John's University.

The exhibit concludes with a seminar on Friday that focuses on the challenges of women in the field and ways that they can overcome those challenges.
