Filmmakers from around the world are preparing for their debut on the silver screen.

The 7th Annual Queens World Film Festival kicks off on Tuesday.

135 films, representing 25 countries, will be screened at the Museum of the Moving Image next week.

It's such a great festival. Not just for Queens but also an International festival. It's really really great, and on top of that, you get to screen at the Museum of the Moving Image which is a huge honor," said filmmaker Anoah Levine.

Organizers told NY1 on Saturday that the submissions shed light on global and local issues and interests.

"The films are incredible this year. The quality of everyone involved is just a wonderful experience for everybody and I guarantee you there is something for everybody,” said Katha Cato, the executive director for the Queens World Film Festival.
