Kid entrepreneur twins have created a water brand they're sharing with kids in need across the borough. NY1's Lyndsay Christian filed the following report.

The Dowe Twins are full of energy and are bursting with a passion to help other kids.

Eight-year old CEOs Princeton and Brazil have manufactured their own line of natural spring water called Water2Kids. They're on a mission to save lives and educate kids on the importance of drinking plenty of H20.

"We started this brand of water because kids weren't healthy and they didn't drink enough water," Princeton said.

"And if they don't drink water, they're not hydrated and won't have enough energy," Brazil said.

The twins, with the help of Mom Alina, delivered 20 cases of Water2 Kids to the City Harvest Warehouse in Long Island City Wednesday.

The cases are much needed resources according to Lex Wilder, the non-profit's Food Operations Liaison, who says 13% of Queens is food insecure.

"The water will be distributed to one of 5 emergency feeding programs City Harvest delivers to throughout the 5 boroughs, it will supplement a can of soda or bottle of juice," Wilder said.

City Harvest wants to create healthy eating habits for kids. So, it created a "fruit bowl" program that delivers fresh fruit, milk and water to schools and after school programs in Northwest Queens and across the city. It's a citywide effort the Dowe Twins fully support, and they encourage organizations to include water on the menu.

Water2Kids is sold in 40 stores across the city, but they need help expanding.

"We are looking for a larger distribution channel, I feel responsible for making sure that happens for all kids," mom Alina said.

"Drink enough water so you won't get diabetes and be sick," Princeton said.

The twins are empowering other kids one bottle at a time.
