Resorts World Casino is celebrating Black History Month with a new art exhibit.

The casino is displaying the work of artist Emmett Wigglesworth. It's a collaboration with the Jamaica Center for the Arts and Learning.

The exhibit, titled "It Takes A Village," includes multi-dimensional sculptures and wall paintings. Sixteen life-size foam sculptures with cutouts are black and white on one side, and vibrantly colored on the other.

Wigglesworth told NY1 he hoped his works express the idea to "see through to find the truth."

“The black and white is what we see, but people are more than that because there are so many factors involved in being human that we can’t divide it into two,” Wigglesworth said.

The artwork will be on display at Resorts World Casino through March 8th.
