Local officials are educating Queens parents about the city's Pre-K enrollment.

Council Member Peter Koo along with School District 25 announced its multilingual Pre-Kindergarten information session.

Representatives from the Department of Education will be available for questions about enrollment and education options.

The session will be translated into Chinese, Korean and Spanish.

Officials say they want to prepare parents before the application period begins on January 17.

"Beyond what is offered in the city, we would like to offer some additional events for our families in multiple languages so they are able to truly understand all of the options that are here for them," School Disrict 25 Superintendent Danielle Di Mango said.

"Telling parents about how to apply, what kind of programs are available," Councilman Peter Koo said.

The information session will be held Thursday January, 12 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Flushing library.
