A new business in St. Albans is bringing a wide range of arts lessons under one roof.

Innovations in Creative Arts and Martial Arts held their grand opening on Saturday afternoon.

Their space on Linden Boulevard and 199th Street offers classes in theater, martial arts, video production, cake decorating and more.

People can purchase single, weekly, monthly or occasional sessions.

Creator Adrienne Whaley told NY1 there are a lot of benefits to a creative education.

"It also helps you develop literacy, an awareness of social history, an appreciation 'cause Queens is the most diverse, an appreciation for diversity," Whaley said. "Children become resourceful. If the electricity goes out, you still know how to count backwards."

The business is open Tuesday through Sunday.
