The Queens-Midtown Tunnel now has cashless tolling.

The system officially launched at 3 a.m. Tuesday.

Cameras and sensors over the roadway read E-ZPass tags and take pictures of license plates so drivers can now go right through the toll plazas without stopping.

Cashless tolling took effect at the Hugh L. Carey tunnel last week.

All MTA bridges and tunnels are expected to go cashless by year's end.
