Some Jamaica students are getting a lesson in giving back.

Second graders at PS 160 raised $1,300 for kids with cancer.

The students held bake sales and brought in dollar donations from home to contribute to the cause.

The money goes to not-for-profit group A Free Bird, which provides art supplies and dance shows to lift the spirit of pediatric cancer patients in the hospital.

"Today is a dream for me. It's a dream for me to see it live, happening, when it comes from children that are supporting other children," said Godni Amir, the founder of A Free Bird.

"It makes me feel proud of myself because I'm actually helping other people," said one student.
