The Boys and Girls Club of Metro Queens is getting people to taste the world for a good cause.
The organization holds its 13th annual "Global Cuisine" event Wednesday at Resorts World Casino to raise funds for its young participants. More than two dozen restaurants, bakeries and wineries from across Queens will serve tastings of some of their traditional items.
“The most interesting part of this event is really sampling and tasting the signature dishes of over the 30 different restaurants that will be participating,” said John DeCristoforo, CEO of Boys and Girls Club of Metro Queens.
The event will be held Wednesday night from 6 to 9. Tickets are still on sale.
