A local development group launched a new virtual guide to Long Island City.

The Long Island City Partnership officially unveiled their new website this past week.

The site features different things to do in the area, everything from food and art to hotels and nightlife.

Users can also register for what's called "perks cards," which provide discounts at local stores.

Elizabeth Lusskin, the President of the Long Island City Partnership, says that the neighborhood is like its own small metropolis and the website proves it.

"A lot of people think of it in a one dimensional way," Lusskin said. "We want this website to show you that Long Island City is a one stop shop. If you are opening a business, or running a business, we're here to help. But if you're here to visit a business, if you're here to look for something to do, the website is here to help as well."
