Children were able enjoy all the fun of a street fair without having to spend a penny on Sunday.

The College Point Board of Trade and some other local sponsors put on the College Point Boulevard Street Festival again this year.

100 vendors selling toys and food were on hand for the event held along College Point Boulevard between 14th and 20th Avenues.

"We wound up buying a couple of things…Everything out here is really fun," said Shannon Neal, a New Jersey resident.

Organizers tout the event as one of the only street festivals in the borough where the rides are free.

"Things are very expensive. Parents are having a hard time meeting certain responsibilities financially and we give them the opportunity to really give their kids a chance at a great day today," explained Brock Weiner, College Point Board of Trade.

Organizers said the festival has been going on for more than 20 years now.
