Homebound Mandarin-speaking seniors get a chance to take classes all over the world -- right from their living room.

Selfhelp Community Services announced an expansion to their Virtual Senior Center Wednesday . It will now include classes in Mandarin.

Selfhelp is a city-based organization , which provides resources to seniors and their families.

With instructors all over the world, the new classes range from English and music lessons to tours of Brazil.

Organizers say that these classes give seniors opportunities that they normally wouldn't have sitting at home.

"They get to learn different, different things. And most important, they get to make new friends," sad Hang Liu, Virual Senior Center Program Director.
