A city park in Corona has a brand new look.

The City Parks Commissioner and several community leaders cut the ribbon Thursday on the new and improved Hinton Park.

The two-million-dollar project was completed four months ahead of schedule.

The makeover includes a volleyball court, adult fitness equipment, and drinking fountains.

A seating area was also upgraded with more plants and new benches.

"Parks are so important for our citizens. It's where they come out to be healthy and happy, where they get to enjoy themselves, so to have this in this community is incredible," said Parks Commissioner Mitchell Silver.

City money from Queens Council Member Julissa Ferreras-Copeland paid for the renovations
