Police have released new surveillance video hoping to find the man who allegedly attacked a transgender woman with a hammer in Queens.

The incident happened last Wednesday morning on 67th Street near 41st Avenue in Woodside.

Investigators say the man seen above got out of a Toyota 4-Runner, approached the 28-year-old victim from behind and tried to take her purse. That's when police say he hit her in the head with a hammer and made an anti-gay comment before getting back into the car and driving away.

The victim was taken to Elmhurst Hospital, where she was treated and released.

The NYPD's Hate Crime Task Force is investigating the incident.
