A Queens hospital is under new leadership.

Israel Rocha Jr., Elmhurst Hospital's new CEO, introduced himself to hospital staff on Tuesday during a meet-and-greet.

Before coming to Elmhurst Hospital, Rocha was in the same position at a health care facility in Texas.

Rocha's former facility is similar in size to Elmhurst Hospital.

Rocha told NY1 his experience isn’t limited to hospital operations but also includes a background in legislative affairs and securing program funding.

"Right now, we have some exciting things coming forward. We're going to be opening up a woman's health clinic and a new pavilion. We want to be able to expand and modernize our emergency services. We have a level one trauma center in Queens, so we want to make sure that it has a great home," Rocha said.

Rocha replaced CEO Chris Constantino, who retired earlier this year after a decade in charge.
