Queens State Assemblyman Phil Goldfeder recently announced he is not seeking re-election this year. Now, he's announced what he's doing next.

Goldfeder will head up government relations efforts at Yeshiva University in Manhattan beginning this fall.

The university says he will work to strengthen and develop relationships between the University and federal, state and local governments. He'll also keep an eye on legislation and policies that could have an impact on Yeshiva and its programs.

In a statement, Goldfeder said, “I have dedicated my life in public service to ensuring a better future for all our families. This begins by providing our children with a world-class education that will enable them to be successful and contribute to the community. I'm excited to utilize my diverse experience to advance the mission and goals of the University.”
