A new pop-up store looks to celebrate vendors from around the borough.

The Queens Economic Development Corporation is taking applications for its first Made In Queens boutique. It will have food, jewelry, bikes and more, mostly all made in Queens.

Local entrepreneurs can rent space to show off their products for up to a month.

The pop-up store will be open for a year starting on June 7.

Organizers say the store will give Queens businesses a chance to shine.

"There's no place like this operation in Queens. Queens is sometimes underserved in terms of independent retailers, and we're going to give them their due, I think," said Seth Bornstein with the Queens Economic Development Corporation.

"Exposure is wonderful. Also, to learn about the buying patterns of people," said Andrea Patel with Sweetcicles Soft Chew.

Vendors from outside the borough can apply, but preference will go to those from Queens.
