The Greater Flushing Chamber of Commerce celebrated Earth Day with a green job fair on Friday.

Sustainable energy companies and other environmentally friendly organizations were at the historic St. George’s Church for the event.

Participants were encouraged to have their resumes ready as they spoke to potential employers.

"It's everything about saving the environment at the same time, as also making money for yourself," said job seeker Michael Young Cho.

"We have people who are bilingual, trilingual, who have skills, master degrees here, so I would really pitch Flushing as a place where you can get really good talent," said John Choe of the Greater Flushing Chamber of Commerce.

This is the third year that the Greater Flushing Chamber of Commerce has hosted the job fair.
