You don't have to travel far to feel like you've dined across the globe.  Thanks to an upcoming market, you can stay right here in Queens. NY1's Shannan Ferry filed the following report.

Foodies, get your taste buds ready. The Queens International Night Market is officially returning to Flushing Meadows-Corona Park next month.

"The idea is to just represent as many nationalities and regions as possible," said John Wang, who is the founder.

Wang started the seasonal multi-cultural market last year.

In just a few weeks, dozens of vendors will be back with ethnic food, music, and games from around the globe.

"It's all over the map in a good way, right so this year I think we're looking at some new Chilean vendors, some new Korean vendors," he said.

Plus, new authentic Tibetan food from Dawa's in Woodside.

Dawa Bhuti and her father own the shop, and say all of their recipes were hand-crafted in their native Tibet.

"Location is really high altitude, there's not much growing, so the food is really simple.  The Momo which is known as the dumpling, and then blood sausage that's like a really nomadic kind of food," said Bhuti.

There's even some fusion.  T-Swirl Crepe is serving up their signature Japanese style treat.

"The French use predominantly wheat, whereas the Japanese they use 100% rice flour, my favorite has to be the machta chocolate truffles, it's sliced strawberries, machta custard creme, chocolate sauce, and crushed pistachios," said Edward Wu, who is the CEO of T-Swirl Crepe.

It doesn't end at food, Wang says he's bringing a few other festivities to the market too including a beer and wine garden.

"And you know hopefully a whole new lineup of free performances," said Wang.

The market will be open on Saturday nights starting April 23rd.
