A group of local moms is making sure parents, in Queens, are prepared to keep their kids busy this summer.

The Queens Mamas Network hosted its 3rd annual Summer Countdown Expo at the New York Hall of Science in Corona on Sunday.

The community group invited more than 30 local businesses to showcase what they have to offer local kids.

Parents browsed several summer camps, arts and crafts tables, and classes to sign their kids up for activities.

"I live in Queens, it's big, I didn't even know where. I'm not even aware of a lot of what goes on. So, I'm glad to be here," said attendee and parent, George O'Ross.

"We can give parents a place to come where they can get all the resources they need in one space," said event organizer Leni Calas.

The Queens Mamas are holding a Mamas Expo on pregnancy, March 12 and 13 at the Hall of Science.
