Former Barnes & Noble Employees Plan Their Own Bookstore in Queens
Former Barnes and Noble employees team up to open their own book store in Queens.
Members of the group , The Queens Bookshop, spread the word about their project in Forest Hills Sunday. The group began to pursue their plans after Barnes and Noble announced it was closing down its Queens locations. Currently, there is only one English language book store left in the borough.
"Right now with all the closures this served as our incentive to make our mission happen. To make a book store come to Queens because Queens deserves a second book store, " says Queens Bookshop Founder Natalie Noba.
The group plans to launch a kickstarter to raise money. For more information, visit facebook.com/thequeensbookshop.
