You can help dozens of cats and dogs find a new home.

More than 150 dogs and cats are available for adoption as part of The Alliance for New York City’s Animals Adoptapalooza event on Sunday.

Families can come to the Koeppel Subaru Showroom on Northern Boulevard in Long Island City to meet their potential new family member. Adoption fees apply.

Information on veterinary care and dog licenses will be available.

Attendees can also get their kid's faces painted, have portraits of their pets taken and get photos with their pet, all free of charge.

"We get the animals out of the rescue animals groups and the foster homes and in front of the public, and that's really where they have that best chance of being adopted, when people actually get to see them and meet them" said Stephanie Mattera, a spokesperson for Animal Alliance for NYC's Animals. "Sometimes it could be daunting for someone to want to go into a shelter, so making it easy and accessible for the public really gives these pets the chance of finding a home."

Adoptapalooza takes place Sunday from noon to 3 p.m. at the Koeppel Subaru Dealership located at 42-01 Northern Boulevard.
