The New York City Housing Authority is shutting down its Queens walk-in center.
NYCHA announced it will close their walk-in center on Sutphin Blvd by the end of this month.
The center assists Section 8 voucher holders, housing applicants and tenants whose apartments require repairs.
Tenants of the housing projects will have to travel to either the the Bronx or Brooklyn locations for assistance.
A NYCHA spokeswoman says the number of people depending on the center's services has decreased dramatically and that closing the center will save NYCHA $300,000 a year in operations.
NYCHA says they encourage customers to use its online portal or to visit other walk in locations with kiosks.
