A local restaurant is helping to pay a Bayside woman's hospital bills.

Fiamma 41 is running a week-long fundraiser where 5-percent of every bill will go to help cover Katy Monte's medical bills from her double-lung transplant.

Katy has cystic fibrosis and had her second surgery in May.

She's the center of the OOmph for Katy campaign started by her husband with the goal of lifting Katy's spirits and raising awareness for organ donation.

The manager says he been inspired by Katy's journey even though they've never met.

Katy's mother says she appreciates the community support.

"Just the fact that there are so many caring, supportive people - it just makes you feel really good." said Pat Starck, Katie Monte's Mother

Management says customers should mention "Oomph for Katie" when ordering.

The restaurant owners say they'll match the money raised.
