NY1 VIDEO: Classrooms in Southeastern Queens will now be more tech-savvy than ever. Councilman Donovan Richards awarded four public schools in District 31 with more than $500,000 through the Nelson Mandela Technology grant. The grant was created in honor of the late South African leader, who said "education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." The money will be used for numerous technology resources, such as computers, smart boards, and educational programs online.
