As we continue with our Fit Kids initiative, the city's first lady is also pushing for neighborhoods to put health first.

Chirlane McCray spoke at the New York State Health Foundation's launch of the Healthy Neighborhoods Fund.

It's a $2 million initiative to help people in low-income neighborhoods throughout the city become healthier and more active.

The plan is to make healthy food more accessible.

It also aims to create safe public spaces to promote more activity.

McCray says there's a connection between physical health and good mental health—something she's made a priority as First Lady.
