The New York Giants have named their next head coach.

In a tweet, the G-Men announced Pat Shurmur as the 18th coach in franchise history.

He comes to the Giants from Minnesota, where he spent two seasons as the Vikings' offensive coordinator.

The team made it to the NFC championship game, where they lost yesterday to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Shurmur replaces Ben McAdoo, who was fired on December 4, after a 2-and-10 start to the season.
