A cold front is forecast to move into North Carolina as we head into the weekend, but that should not have a major impact on the weather for eastern and coastal parts of the state.

Behind the cold front on Saturday morning, cloudy skies and cooler temperatures will be in store for the Piedmont including locations near Greensboro and Raleigh.

That cooler air likely just will not make it all the way to southeastern North Carolina, however.

While Greensboro will be cloudy with drizzle and temperatures in the upper 50s all day Saturday, we’ll see partly cloudy skies with highs warming in to the mid 70s in Wilmington and Jacksonville.

Sunday will also be a partly cloudy day and a little warmer with highs in the upper 70s.

Early next week could be a bit warmer. Highs in the low 80s appear likely for Monday.
