November began on Wednesday and it hasn’t felt like it yet. We’ve been running from ten to fifteen degrees above normal for the afternoon highs for much of the week.

We’re watching an approaching cold front that will be moving across the state that will bring a few changes to our weather this weekend.

Behind the cold front on Saturday patchy drizzle could form early in the day from the Triangle to the north and west. Any drizzle should come to an end before the afternoon in our area but could linger a little longer for locations near Greensboro.

The front will also bring a wedge of cooler air that will keep temperatures in the 60s all day Saturday around Raleigh and Durham, which is where they should be.

Northwest of the Triangle temperatures around Roxboro and Greensboro could hold in the upper 50s all day.

South and southeast of the Triangle, limited sunshine breaking through the clouds will allow temperatures to warm into the 70s around Goldsboro and Fayetteville.

A shift in the weather pattern Sunday will make for a partly cloudy day with Sunday's highs warming back into the mid 70s. Highs near 80 will return Monday.
